A device for sweeping an LCD in a portable terminal is provided to sweep a surface of the LCD according to reciprocation of a slide key by installing a sweeper, reciprocating on the front of the LCD, in the rear of the slide key, thereby keeping the LCD clean and protecting the LCD by covering the LCD with the slide key. In a portable terminal having a button input unit(11) and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display)(12), a device for sweeping the LCD(12) of the portable terminal comprises the followings: a slide key(20) which is combined on the front of the LCD(12); and a sweeper(26) which is combined in the rear of the slide key(20) and sweeps a surface of the LCD(12). The sweeper(26) is detachably combined in the rear of the slide key(20).
