FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in orientation of the cutting point relative to a preset trajectory represented by the generatrix of the conic surface being shaped by way of longitudinal travel of the carriage and travel of the upper longitudinal tool slide, coordinated in terms of speed and real-time coincident, with the tool slide being turned at a specified angle to the axis of the lathe centres the blank being treated is mounted on. Coincidence of the above-mentioned lathe units travel is performed wholly in an automated mode; to provide for that the drive screw of the upper longitudinal tool slide is kinematically connected to the idle gear couple of the transverse slide drive chain with one of the gears mounted on a proprietary shaft capable of travel to so that to provide for engagement of an auxiliary chain connected to the drive screw of the longitudinal tool slide independent of the travel drive of the longitudinal tool slide. Treatment is done through sequential engagement (be way of operating the mnemonic joystick) of the gear clutch couplings of the kinematical chains of the drive for longitudinal travel of the carriage and the transverse tool slide so that to enable kinematical connection of the drive screw of the upper longitudinal tool slide to the idle gear couple of the transverse tool slide drive kinematical chain. Angle of turn of the upper longitudinal tool slide is selected from the given ratio. In accordance with the proposed method implementation version on the mnemonic joystick base there are profiled grooves arranged, their shape selected out of the condition to provide for exclusion of mechanical interlock of the corresponding travels of the handle ensuring simultaneous engagement of the clutch couplings of the carriage longitudinal travel and the transverse tool slide travel. ^ EFFECT: extension of the lathe technological capabilities. ^ 2 cl, 7 dwg |
