PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a threshing cylinder where the cover plate of the check opening of a threshing cylinder drum can be used over a long period of time, despite generation of wear. SOLUTION: The threshing cylinder is equipped with the check opening 42 arranged on the peripheral wall 31 of the threshing cylinder drum 30. The cover plate 50 for the check opening 42 is equipped with an end part 53 on the downstream side, overlapping on the external surface of the peripheral wall of the threshing cylinder drum 30 on the downstream side of the check opening 42, in the rotary direction of the threshing cylinder drum in a closed state of the check opening 42 and an end part 52 on the upstream; overlapping on the external surface of the peripheral wall of the threshing cylinder drum, on the upstream side of the check opening 42 in the rotary direction of the threshing cylinder drum. The length L1 of the end part 53 on the downstream side, in the rotary direction of the threshing cylinder drum is set larger than the length L2 of the end part 52 on the upstream side, in the rotary direction of the threshing cylinder drum.
