METHOD FOR ASSESSING QUALITY OF EXAMINATION DETECTING ANTIBODIES TO HUMAN IMMUNODEFICIENCY VIRUS (HIV)

A method for assessing the quality of examination detecting the antibodies to human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) provides for the serological assay of the serum samples with the known titer of anti-HIV antibodies based on screening immunoenzyme test-system. The mean square deviation (δ) and coefficient of variation of the optical density in one (CV) or two (CV) tests are measured. The difference within ±1-2δ or 15-20 % CV is indicative of the high quality of examination detecting anti-HIV antibodies.
