PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a resin composition for shielding electromagnetic waves, which is superior in electromagnetic wave-shielding property, bending resistance and low-temperature embrittlement; and a cable arranged by use of such a resin composition.SOLUTION: A resin composition for shielding electromagnetic waves comprises: a base resin including a polyvinyl chloride resin and an acid-modified polyolefin; a magnetic layer-coated carbon fiber arranged by coating a magnetic layer made of a magnetic metal with carbon fiber; and carbon particles. The value of A calculated according to the following formula (1) is 5-41 [ml/100 g]: A=Carbon particle oil absorption [ml/100 g]×Blend quantity of the carbon particles per 100 pts.mass of the base resin/Total blend quantity of components constituting the resin composition for shielding electromagnetic waves (1). The value of B calculated according to the following formula (2) is 1.5-15 [100 g/ml]: B=Blend quantity of the magnetic layer-coated carbon fiber per 100 pts.mass of the base resin/A (2).
