1. A method for producing a lithium insertion material for cathodes in a Li-ion battery, the method comprising:
a. dissolving LiNO3, Fe(NO3)3 and SiO2 in water, thus creating a solution; b. adding a carbonaceous fuel to said solution, thus creating a mixture; c. removing water from said mixture; d. heating in an inert atmosphere or a CO/CO2-atmosphere; and e. collecting the resulting lithium insertion material. |
