<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an energy loss while maintaining a fail-safe function. <P>SOLUTION: This controller is provided with a pressure source P such as a hydraulic pump, a electromagnetic proportional flow control valve 20 connected to the pressure source P, a power steering mechanism PS connected to a downstream of the flow control valve 20, and a pressure compensating valve 4 connected to an upstream of the flow control valve and for keeping constant a pressure difference between pressures on the upstream side and downstream side of the flow control valve 20. The flow control valve 20 keeps a prescribed opening when a control current supplied to a proportional solenoid S is zero, and when the control current is increased from zero, the opening is reduced gradually and, when the control current exceeds a prescribed control current, the opening is gradually increased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
