The present invention relates to a display device used as a lamp. The display device includes a display panel, a light source installed on the back side of the display panel, at least one sensor detecting an ambient condition, and a control part which analyses sensing information obtained by the at least one sensor and controls the light source and the display panel according to the detected ambient condition. So, the space for the display device and the lamp can be efficiently used.
