PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical cell superior in conductivity, which makes it possible to join electrode sheets to respective tabs readily and reliably, thereby increasing the productivity and keeping down the manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: an electrode body arranged by putting together a sheet-like positive electrode sheet 3 and a sheet-like negative electrode sheet 4 over each other through a separator. The positive and negative electrode sheets 3 and 4 each have: one of positive and negative electrode current collectors 30 and 40; one of positive and negative electrode material layers 31 and 41, which is applied to each surface of corresponding one of the positive and negative electrode current collectors 30 and 40; a conductive coat layer 33 or 43 made of a nonmetal conductive material at least on the side opposite to corresponding one of the positive and negative electrode material layers 31 and 41; and one of positive and negative electrode tab terminals 32 and 42 electrically and mechanically connected to the corresponding positive and negative electrode current collectors 30 and 40 respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
