PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas circuit breaker and an electric power system switchgear, which can prevent the wear or deformation of a movable conductor or a support conductor to which a main circuit current is flown by a switching operation, while excellently flowing the main current circuit when a movable contact is at a closing position.SOLUTION: According to the embodiment, a gas circuit breaker comprises: a container having an internal space to which an insulation gas is filled and a current is shut downed; a movable contact movably constructed to the container; a cylinder 28 which is electrically connected to the movable contact, and can be integrally moved to an axial direction with the movable contact; and an outer supporting conductor 33 that is fixed and disposed to the container, and relatively and movably supports the cylinder 28 to the axial direction. Further, the gas circuit breaker is provided so as to be contacted to the cylinder 28 and the outer supporting conductor 33, is constructed so as to be elastically deformable in a radial direction, and includes a current carrying member 40 which electrically contacts the cylinder 28 and the outer supporting conductor 33 and flows a main circuit current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
