According to an embodiment of the present invention, a healthcare device, attached to a body of a patient, includes: a sensor unit which collects biometric data of the patient or performing a medical treatment to the patient; a communication unit which communicates with a healthcare gateway; a control unit which receives a control command from the healthcare gateway, and controls the sensor unit according to a received control command; and a device verification unit which receives a verification request from the healthcare gateway, verifies an error of a control unit or the sensor unit in response to the received verification request, and transmits the verification result to the healthcare gateway.
