<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form, in one process, a deep square tubular container whose height is, for example, more than twice the short side in the outer circumference of the container bottom. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a square punch 2 having a head shape corresponding to the inner circumference of the bottom of the square tubular container, a first drawing die 3 and a second drawing die 4 which are successively arrayed on the axial line of this square punch 2. The cavity of the first drawing die 3 has two inclined faces 11, 12. The inclined face 11 tilts about 40°to the travelling direction of the square punch 2 while the inclined face 12 tilts about 20°. A circular metallic plate 10 is placed flat on the inclined face 11 of the cavity of the first drawing die 3 and then, the square punch 2 is lowered from above and made to proceed successively in the cavity of the first drawing die 3 and that of the second drawing die 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
