PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system capable of accurately detecting the moving direction and position of a receiver without reducing a communication-enabled region.SOLUTION: A radio communication system comprises: a plurality of transmitters that are installed at predetermined positions respectively, and wirelessly transmit their own identification information to a predetermined communication-enabled region; and a receiver that receives the identification information from each of the transmitters and thereby detects its own position and moving direction. The communication-enabled region of a transmitter includes a region overlapping with the communication-enabled regions of adjacent transmitters, and the receiver discriminates a region where communication-enabled regions do not overlap from a region where the communication-enabled regions overlap, and detects its own position and moving direction. |
