PURPOSE: A system and a method for accumulating and using points on a bank transaction are provided to accumulate the points corresponding to a financial transaction activity to a point managing account of a customer, and to substitute a charge of the financial transaction with the point in the point managing account. CONSTITUTION: A transaction terminal(50) inputs the information needed for the financial transaction. A host computer(10) processes the financial transaction transmitted from the transaction terminal by linking with the LAN(80). A D/W(Data/Warehouse) server(30) and a D/W(40) collect and analyze the financial transaction information transmitted from an external D/W server(60) of an external financial organization and a bank system(70). The host computer includes a point database manager(11) updating the point account(5) of the customer when the point is accumulated or used, and manages and stores the point use information and the information generating the point in a point database(20).
