The cable stripping machine has two cutting wheels connected to a drive so as to rotate in opposite directions, at the same time feeding a cable between them. The cable runs against a guide situated in front of the cutting wheels and against a cutting element situated behind them. The cutting wheels are guided while rotating by bearings which are arranged so that their axes always remain parallel. The relative distance of the axes of the cutting wheels is regulated so as to adapt the machine to cables of differing sections.
