PURPOSE:To obtain a developing agent supplying device which does not scatter a developing agent, by automatically opening and closing the developing agent discharging port of the device in accordance with the mounting and removing operation of a developing agent carrying member. CONSTITUTION:When a toner cartridge 22 is placed on the toner carrying sec tion at the part 23 of a printer main body, on which the toner cartridge 22 is to be mounted, a pushing-up member 47 provided at the central part of the mounting port 46 of the toner carrying section under a projected condition contacts the lower surface of a toner carrying member 34 and pushes up the toner carrying member 34 against acoil spring 35. As a result, a toner discharg ing port 33 is opened and the toner in the cartridge 22 is carried to the toner carrying section. Since the lower end face of the toner carrying member 34 is in pressure-contact with the inner edge section of the toner discharging port 33 and obstructs the discharge of the toner T by closing the toner discharging port 33 under a condition where the toner cartridge 22 is removed, the toner does not scatter to the outside even if the toner carrying member 34 rotates. |
