<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil skimmer for treating floating oil and floating chips on a surface of a coolant in a coolant tank, and separately collecting oil and chips. <P>SOLUTION: The oil skimmer comprises a non-magnetic rotary cylinder 14 having a magnet 13 on an inner surface 12, a motor 15 having a reduction gear to rotate the non-magnetic rotary cylinder 14, a squeezing rubber roller 17 to mainly squeeze oil contained in floating chips adsorbed by an outer circumferential surface 16 of the non-magnetic rotary cylinder 14, a chip scraping plate 18 to scrape the floating chips adsorbed by the outer circumferential surface 16 of the non-magnetic rotary cylinder 14 after mainly squeezing oil contained in the floating chips by the squeezing rubber roller 17 and to discharge them outside, an oil scraping plate 19 which is provided on a lower part of the chip scraping plate 18 to mainly capture oil adhered to the outer circumferential surface 16 of the non-magnetic rotary cylinder 14, and a base body 20 to fit the above devices or appliances. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
