Raised features are impressed onto the concrete, by means of suitable formwork or a marking roller 10 in the case of a horizontal surface, so as to provide the concrete with the raised features of an apparatus, for example of brick, millstone, tiling. The raised features are coloured, for example using a roller, while leaving the bottom of the recesses in the natural colour of the concrete which resembles the mortar of the joints. The effect obtained is remarkable. The resemblance is striking, for a very low cost. <IMAGE>
