<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high reliable thrust bearing and scroll type fluid machinery in which noise is reduced, and bearing life is lengthened through forming a small-sized thrust bearing improved in assembling workability by preventing balls 7 from falling away. <P>SOLUTION: The thrust bearing 40 includes retainer 50 provided with holding holes 6 by which the balls 7 are held, and a first and a second members 3c, 1b that sandwich the retainer 50. In openings 51 of one side of the holding holes 6, protrusions 52 are formed which are made gibbosity-shaped toward a radial direction, and further concave portions 1c formed in a casing 1a are provided with elastic bodies for lifting the thrust bearing 40 from a bottom of the concave portions 1c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
