PURPOSE:To generate a pulse having a prescribed pulse width at an arbitrary timing by synchronizing start position information and pulse length information of the pulse to be generated with a clock pulse. CONSTITUTION:In case the signal at a certain time slot in a frame is controlled and substituted with another signal in the transmission system of the digital signal having frame constitution or the like, a pulse generating circuit is used which is constituted as follows; a counter 3 counts a bit clock pulse 108 while being reset by a frame synchronizing pulse 109 and the output is inputted to one-side terminals of coincidence detecting circuits 5 and 6, and start position information 101 of the pulse to be generated is inputted to the other terminal of the detecting circuit 5 and the value resulting from addition between start position information 101 and pulse length information 102 is outputted from an adder 4 and is inputted to the other terminal of the detecting circuit 6, and outputs of detecting circuits 5 and 6 set and reset a flip flop 7 to generate a prescribed pulse 107. |
