<p>Portable golf club head cleaner (10) includes a body having a location for receiving a golf club head and a reservoir (20) for holding a liquid. A brush (78) for cleaning the golf club head includes means (74, 80, 82, 84) for moveably mounting the brush within the body, adjacent the location. Pumping means (30, 98) pump liquid from the reservoir (20) onto the brush (78) on operation of manually operable means (16) which simultaneously pumps the pumping means (30, 98) and moves the brush (78) to clean a golf club head at the location. The brush (78) may move in a reciprocal manner or may be cylindrical in shape and move by rotation about its axis. The pumping means can include a piston (98) within the reservoir (20) moveable between an upper and lower position and a shaft (30) having an internal tube (90) connecting the piston (98) to the manually operable means (16). The manually operable means (16) moves in a reciprocal manner to reciprocate the shaft (30) and piston (98) forcing liquid from the reservoir (20) into the tube (90) on downward stroke of the piston (98). The liquid travels up the tube (90) and is expressed onto the brush (78). The brush (78) may be attached to the shaft (30) for reciprocal movement therewith.</p> |
