PATH DETECTION APPARATUS AND COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely detect the path of a signal addressed to each communication terminal from a received midamble signal.

SOLUTION: A matched filter 108 takes correlation between a plurality of the midamble signals included in a received signal and a basic midamble code unique to a cell prepared in advance to produce a delay profile of the signal addressed to its own station and other stations. A window width excess detection section 110 detects whether or not the delay spread of the path for the received signal exceeds a detection window for path selection or detects a delay amount in excess of the detection window. A malfunction preventing path selection section 113 excludes an area equivalent to a delay wherein the delay spread of the path exceeds the detection window from a path selection area and selects the path from the resulting area.
