PURPOSE:To produce a porous body small in firing shrinkage, excellent in dimensional accuracy and water permeability and high in strength by granulating the incineration ash of domestic wastes or industrial wastes and after calcining it into make an aggregate, adding an assistant, (with vibration) press molding and firing. CONSTITUTION:The incineration ash such as a bottom ash or a fly ash produced at the time of incinerating domestic wastes or the industrial wastes is used as a raw material. The firing assistant (e.g. glazing, flit or water glass) is added into the incineration ash at the time of granulating to make a granulated material having 0.1-10mm average particle diameter and the granulated material is calcined to make the aggregate. The calcining temp. of the granulated material is controlled to 950-1100 deg.C and the firing temp. of the molded body is controlled to 1000-1100 deg.C. The calcination of the granulated body and the firing of the molded material are executed respectively by using the upper and lower part of the same furnace. For example, a roller hearth furnace, in which rollers are arranged into two stage of upper and lower in the same furnace, is used and by clacining the granulated material in the lower stage and firing the molded body in the upper stage, which keeps higher temp. than the lower stage, heat loss is restricted to min. |
