PURPOSE:To achieve higher operability of opening or closing a lid by eliminating air stagnation generated between a packing groove provided on the lid for closing a chamber of an autoclave apparatus and a packing mounted in the chamber to prevent the blocking of a smooth opening operation of the lid otherwise caused by a compressed air in the air stagnation. CONSTITUTION:A water liquid injected into a chamber 2 is heated to sterilize an instrument by a high pressure steam generated. A lid 4 is provided with a packing 5 so arranged to be pressed onto an open end face of the chamber 2 so that the inside of the chamber 2 is allowed to be closed airtight. The lid 4 has a circular packing groove 4a to mount the packing 5 while having at least one through hole 4b reaching the packing groove 4a. |
