PURPOSE: To provide lacquered chopsticks exhibiting antibacterial properties for a long time, by applying a coating mixed with a powder substance and an antibacterial agent onto the periphery of the chopsticks to form a coated surface with uneven microstructure and exposing the antibacterial agent from the coated film surface. CONSTITUTION: A coating material 2 mixed with a powder substance 3 and an antibacterial agent 4 is applied on the periphery surfaces of chopstick main bodies 1 to form an uneven rough coated surfaces 2a, and the antibacterial agent 4 is uniformly exposed from the coated surfaces 2a. Silica powder, plastic powder, wood powder, etc., within the particle size range of 1∼300μm are used as the powder substance so as to be contained 1∼200 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the coating material. The antibacterial agent is to be a metallic based ionic antibacterial agent, which is to be a synthetic zeolite aluminosilicate imparted with a metallic ion and the particle size is to be about 2∼5μm. The antibacterial agent 4 is mixed to be contained in the coating film within the range of 0.2∼2.0wt.%.
