<p>A material for ophthalmic lenses containing a polymer comprising maleimide derivative-α-methylstyrene units and N,N-dimethylacrylamide units, which is excellent in optical properties, exhibits a high water-containing capacity and high mechanical strengths and is little changed in the size in a water-containing state by the pH change of the treatment solution used, thus being particularly suitable for hydrous contact lenses; and a process for the production thereof.</p> |
