Automatic plug-in electrical connector

The connector comprises a mobile contact part (1) and a base contact part (5) attached to respective supports. These are mounted in order to be brought into contact with a facility for centering and subsequent locking together. The mobile part (1) is mounted in suspension on its support by means of at least three helicoidal springs (17) which stand apart from each other. The base (5) includes at least two identical guide columns (23) orientated in the direction of the fitting together of the two contact supports. These are intended to be introduced into two complementary rings (19) serving to align the mobile contact with the base contact. The springs allows a degree of movement in order to compensate for a permitted range of mis-alignment as the contacts are brought together.
