PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the reduction of an electrode area and stable conversion in voltage detection required for detecting a coordinate by cancelling defects in both four-electrode specification and eight-electrode specification. SOLUTION: A coordinate input device is the one using a resistance film-type tablet 1 and the one using the tablet providing a four-electrode specification electrode part 11 and an eight-line specification output part 22. That is, the four-lime output part of four-electrode specification is branged and constituted as the output part 22 of eight-line specification. By the tablet 1 with the configuration, the size of the are required for the electrode is the same as that of four-electrode specification and the setting of an input ramge where the voltage fluctuation range of the respective resistance films is detected is realized in a hardware like eight-line specification.
