Inertial sensor has a movable mass (6) mounted so that it slides within a housing (5), and a detection system (7), fixed at one end of the housing (5), connected to an electronic analyser (16) which determines the state of the inertial mass (6). An interface component (20) also slides within the housing (5) and is placed between the inertial mass (6) and the detector (7) with an elastic spring (22) tending to hold both component (20) and mass (6) away from the detector. The housing is cylindrical and the mass spherical with a diameter corresponding to that of the cylinder.
