摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a back light system which does not depend on the angle condition of observation by allowing a collimation means to have incident planes inclined with respect to a specific direction. SOLUTION: A collimation means 20 has incident planes inclined with respect to a first direction (the direction shown by 'z'). In a desirable embodiment, the collimation means 20 is either a linear collimator having inclined incident planes or a collector having 'CPC' having inclined incident plans. In this case, bottom surfaces of the collimator are inclined so as to be roughly lined up the light-emitting end of a transmission means. Then, the transmission means or the waveguide 30 of a light is provided at outlets of the collimation means 20. The waveguide 30 is consisting of a first surface 31 or an upper surface on which microprism structures 40 are formed and the role of it is to reflect light beams to be emitted from the collimation means 20 toward the bottom surface 32 of the waveguide 30 being light-emitting surfaces.
