PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for molding a uniformly expanded balloon. SOLUTION: A mold for molding a balloon has an almost oval balloon part molding part 1 and columnar taking-up part molding parts 2, 3 connected to both ends or one end of the molding part 1 in its long axis direction and is provided with grooves 4, 5 each having a diameter smaller than that of each of the taking-up part molding parts 2, 3 by at least 0.1 mm and having a diameter larger than the inner diameter of the taking-up part of a balloon molded by the taking-up part molding parts. The inner diameter (Y) of the takingup part can be calculated from Y=0.93X-0.89 (wherein X is the diameter of the taking-up part molding parts of the mold). The length of each of the grooves is pref. 0.2-1 times the thickness of the taking-up part of the balloon and an inclined part having an angle of inclination of 5-45 deg. is pref. provided between the takingup part molding parts and the grooves. |
