SUPER-ABRASIVE WHEEL AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a super-abrasive wheel capable of reducing manufacturing cost and excellent in connecting force of a base metal and an abrasive layer concerning the super-abrasive wheel to form the abrasive layer by sintering a mixed body mixing the super-abrasives and metal powder which is a bond material together and directly connecting the abrasive layer on a surface of the ferrous base metal. SOLUTION: At least nickel and tin are used as metal powder, and quantity of tin against nickel is made in a range of 15-35 weight%. Consequently, a diffusion region of nickel to the base metal becomes wider to be more than 10μm, and it is possible to improve connecting strength of the abrasive layer without applying coppering on the base metal as conventionally.
