The brake installation a brake booster that can be operated by a brake pedal and has a master cylinder (1) and a reservoir for hydraulic fluid, two brake devices coupled to a first and second car wheel which can be connected by an electronically controlled valve arrangement (5,6), respectively, to the master cylinder in a first position or separated from it in a second position. A third valve arrangement (7) follows the first one by which in a first position, the first brake device can be separated from the inlet side of a pump (9) or connected to it in a second position. A throttle (8) is connected after the second valve arrangement which is located between the second brake device and the inlet side of the pump. The throttle is dimensioned so that hydraulic fluid supplied by the second valve arrangement to the second brake device generates a stagnation pressure at the throttle on the brake device-side. The stagnation pressure generates a corresponding brake pressure in the second brake device.
