The printer system has a first printer (10/1) and a second printer (10/2) operating in tandem. A sheet printed by the first printer is then fed to the second printer. Each printer has its own main control device (21/1;21/2) and its own operating field computer (22/1;22/2). Each computer includes a display device, an input device, a microprocessor and a non-volatile memory. The operating field computers of the two printers are connected to each other for data exchange.
