Pressed thermal insulating composite molded part consists of two covering layers (2, 3) enclosing a ceramic middle layer (1). Both covering layers are joined by a connecting element provided at connecting sites. An Independent claim is also included for the production of a thermal insulating composite molded part comprising hardening the covering layers to form covering plates and joining to a pressed middle layer.
