<p>PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling a cooling fan of a computer is provided, which controls a power supply device and a cooling pan of a CPU according to a power saving operation mode of a power management system. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling a cooling fan of a computer comprises: a power management unit for managing a PMS mode of a computer; and a plurality of resistor device(410,412,414) to be connected in parallel each other; and a switching unit(340) to be connected to a plurality of resistor device (410,412,414) and be connected to a power for driving the cooling fan in series, and for controlling a voltage provided to the cooling fan. Thereby, a noise occurred when the cooling fan is rotated, is managed suitably and a life of the cooling fan is extended.</p> |
