PURPOSE: A multi-color LED(light emitting diode) is provided to be used as a light source for display and embody a clean image due to a fine color embodiment by embodying the light having a small integrated multi-color wavelength. CONSTITUTION: The first clad layer(3), an active layer(5) and the second clad layer are sequentially formed on a substrate(1). At least two ridges(3a,3b) of a predetermined width are formed on the first clad layer. The active layer and the second clad layer are formed on each ridge, vertical to the width of the ridge and in parallel with the width of the ridge. The active layer formed on each ridge is made of composition materials having different band gap energy.
