PURPOSE: A media file reproducing method designates files desired to reproduce repeatedly, and then reproduces only the designated files repeatedly. CONSTITUTION: A method for reproducing a plurality of media files stored in a storage media per a directory comprises the steps of: judging whether a directory repeat reproduction mode is or not; and repeatedly reproducing media files included in the selected directory, according to a predetermined order. The selected directory includes the media file in reproducing when a user selects the directory repeat reproduction mode. The directory repeat reproduction mode is replaced with at least one of a single file repeat reproduction mode and a section repeat reproduction mode. The method further comprises the steps of: displaying a screen capable of selecting the directory to be reproduced repeatedly; and receiving the directory selection from the user. Also, the method further comprises the steps of: producing a repeat directory; and assigning at least one media file selected by the user to the repeat directory.
