A connection element comprises a well plate connection region (3) and a wall connection region (4). The element is made from recycled cardboard impregnated with bitumen. An Independent claim is also included for the production of the above connection element comprising pressing a moist section of a planar piece of recycled cardboard at 150 deg C; drying and impregnating with bitumen. Preferred Features: The section of the planar piece of recycled cardboard has a moisture content of 15% and a thickness of at least 2 mm.
