PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire reconciling reduction of the weight of the tire and reduction of road noises in the vicinity of 250 Hz. SOLUTION: This tire is provided with a belt (4) made of belt layers (4a, 4b) of two layers disposed on an inner peripheral side of a tread (1) and mutually intersecting a belt cord between the layers, carcass (6) of a hollow structure made of a carcass ply (6a) extending from a position overlapped with each side part of the belt (4) to a bead core (5) on an inner peripheral side of the belt (4) and a belt auxiliary layer (7) made of a cord extending in a substantially tire peripheral direction on an outer peripheral side of the belt (4). Mass per unit area of the belt layer (4a, 4b) is determined for 1.4 to 1.7 kg/cm2 and the width of a hollow part (9) of the carcass (6) is determined for 30 to 60% of the width in an intersecting region of the belt cord of the belt layers (4a, 4b) of two or more layers. |
