<p>The sealing strip consists of a cross section, based on a tubular section (5), in a deformable elastic material, which is designed to fit to the edge of the opening and to be compressed as the opening is closed. The external and/or internal surface of the tube is increased locally by a thin film (7) in a different material, which is designed to form a barrier to the passage of sound waves. The film does not extend to the sealing profile of the joint, but is located such that the sound waves passing through the seal encounter at least one of the films.</p> |
