PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a deflection yoke device which is capable of correcting the mistaken convergence YH in the Y axis lateral direction to a practically sufficient level with a simple structure, and a television receiving set improved in picture quality using the deflecting yoke device. SOLUTION: In the deflection yoke device, sub coils 25b, 26b having vertical deflection action are wound on the core 20 in addition to the main coils 25a, 26a for vertical deflection, and the deflecting current supplied to the main coils 25a, 26a is supplied to the sub coils 25b, 26b through diodes D1, D2 which are connected in parallel mutually in opposite direction.
