A dialing method by user configurable call pattern display and an apparatus thereof are provided to select a desired number on a user configurable call pattern screen provided according as a user input a send key in a standby screen, and dial the selected number, thereby reducing dialing time as well as call correspondent searching time. A dialing method by user configurable call pattern display comprises: performing key input in order to view a prioritized phone number list(S10); displaying the prioritized phone number list(S40); and selecting a phone number, which user wants, from the prioritized phone number list and dialing the selected phone number(S150). In the above second step, the prioritized phone number list is displayed if a call key input signal is inputted at least twice at a certain time interval in a call standby state.
