PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a run flat tire enhancing run flat durability. SOLUTION: The run flat tire is provided with a side wall part 3 and a side reinforcement rubber layer 10 having a cross section of crescent shape at an inner side of a carcass 6. When a point on a tire outer surface left from a tire equator surface C by a distance SP of 45% of the maximum cross section shape SW is made to P, radium of curvature RC of the tire outer surface is gradually reduced from a tire equator point CP to the point P. When respective radial distances between respective points on the tire outer surface left from the tire equator surface C by distances X60, X75, X90 and X100 of 60%, 75%, 90% and 100% of half width (SW/2) of the tire maximum cross section width SW respectively and the tire equator point CP are made to Y60, Y75, Y90 and Y100 respectively and tire cross section height is made to SH, it satisfies a relationship of 0.05<Y60/SH≤0.1, 0.1<Y75/SH≤0.2, 0.2<Y90/SH≤0.4 and 0.4<Y100/SH≤0.7.
