PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separating device, a fixing device, and an image forming apparatus such that wear of and damage to an opposed member and a separating member and occurrence of abnormal image are suppressed and separation property for a recording medium is excellent even when a maximum image region is set large or deformation of the opposed member is caused. SOLUTION: The separating device includes a separating member 53 which is disposed at a position corresponding to the maximum image region of the opposed member 21 to face the opposed member 21 with a gap G1, and an abutting member 54 which is disposed at both width-directional ends of the opposed member 21 which corresponds to an area outside the maximum image region and has a curved surface portion 54a brought into contact with the opposed member 21. The separating member 53 and abutting member 54 are energized in one body toward the opposed member 21. The center of curvature of the curved surface portion 54a meets the tip portion 53b of the separating member when viewed from a direction orthogonal to the conveying direction of the recording medium.
