PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actinometer usable suitably for plant cultivation, capable of measuring always accurately the insolation of sunlight with which the plant is drenched from the sun regardless of the position of the sun. SOLUTION: This actinometer used for plant cultivation is equipped with a base part 11, a photodiode 13 for detecting the insolation arranged on the upper surface of the base part 11, and a white spherical body 14 arranged on the base part so as to cover a light receiving surface 13a of the photodiode 13 through a fixed space. The actinometer can be utilized suitably for plant cultivation, because a domain corresponding to the peripheral of the spherical body on the upper surface of the base part is black.
