The method involves evaluating a set of signals of brightness measurement and combustion point monitoring for rotation and inclination of a collector field (17) from sensors. Another set of signals is used to drive the collector field for field alignment and for guiding perpendicular irradiation of solar energy to the collector field. A signal of a temperature sensor is used for analog controlling of a flow rate of medium, which runs into a circuit from the field as a forward flow and returns into the field as a return flow. An independent claim is also included for a solar thermal installation comprising a heat exchanger.
