An air compressor (1) is provided with a control section (5) which controls a motor section (4) by employing PAM control and PWM control. The control section (5) changes a voltage value, which is a condition for transition from the PWM control to the PAM control, corresponding to increase state of a duty value of the PWM control performed just after the motor section (4) is started to be driven.
