PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical instrument for accurately displaying a focal position by a simple method.SOLUTION: There is provided a camera system including a memory 23 in which correspondence information between the focus reference position of an imaging optical system and the position of a focus lens is previously stored. The camera system calculates the focal position on the basis of the position of the focus lens driven according to operation by operation means and the correspondence information stored in the memory 23.
