PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of acquiring image data having appropriate luminance.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: acquisition means for acquiring, from input image data, a luminance histogram which represents the total number of pixels, having a luminance value subordinate to a category as a frequency, on the basis of each category which is a luminance range including one or more luminance values; detection means for detecting, from the luminance histogram, a cluster which is a brightness range composed of one or more categories whose frequency is a first threshold or greater; determination means for determining whether or not the cluster detected by the detection means satisfies a predetermined condition; and correction means for correcting the input image data on the basis of the determination result of the determination means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
